Akvarellimaalaus 22 x 32 cm synteettiselle paperille (Yupo/Lanavanguard – 100% polypropyleeni, happovapaa). Maalausta ei pidä kosketella, koska kosteus tai rasva voi vahingoittaa maalattua pintaa. Lasin takana teos on suojassa, ja kehystäminen onkin helppoa, sillä hintaan sisältyy happovapaa luonnonvalkoinen paspis (aukkopahvi). Teoksen näkyvä osuus on 19,5 x 29,5 cm - paspiksen ulkomitta 30x40 cm, mikä on yksi valmiskehysten vakiomitoista. Etsit vain mieleisesi kehykset ja sujautat teoksen paikoilleen – helppoa ja edullista, ellet sitten päätä kääntyä kehystysliikkeen puoleen.

My Birds’ nest -series depicts the time of joyful expectation – waiting for the new baby to be born, or spring and summer to arrive. In this phantasy nest Our Trio is soon ready for the world!

 

Watercolour painting 22x32 cm on synthetic paper (Yupo/Lanavanguard, 100% polypropylen, acid free). The painted surface should not be touched but displayed under glass because it is sensitive to grease and moisture. However, framing is easy because of the passepartout (mat) included in the delivery. The visible size of the painting is here 19,5x29,5 cm, the passepartout size of 30x40 cm matching the stardard frames on the European market. Just find your favourite frame and slip this in – easy and affordable - unless you wish to use a professional framing studio.

When words are not enough, an artwork can take their role. This would be a nice present for a young couple, or the mother/father/granparents of three children.

Munien symboliikka on aina kiehtonut minua; munat sisältävät toivon, uuden elämän, lupauksen... Ne ovat ilon lähettiläitä, eikä ainoastaan pääsiäisenä, jolloin väritämme niitä iloisin värein. Yhä uudelleen palaan tähän aiheeseen käyttäen eri tekniikoita ja näin syntyy myös erilaisia tarinoita.

 

 

Tämä romanttinen pesä on selvästi Unelmahautomo. Unelmat ovat kuin linnunmunia… ne tarvitsevat aikaa kehittyäkseen, niistä pitää huolehtia eikä niitä saa päästä jäähtymään. Sitten jonakin päivänä ne saavat siivet selkäänsä – maailma odottaa!

 

 

Teos on alun perin monoprintti; vedostusvaiheessa on käytetty apuna pitsejä ja hapsunauhaa sekä muutamia kasvin lehtiä.  Toteutus akryylivärein  käsin vedostaen korkealaatuiselle painopaperille; itse asiassa käytin töistäni kootun taidekalenterin lehteä ja taustassa onkin kettuenkeli-työni... Unelmahautomon viimeistelyssä käytin hiukan värikyniä, jolloin tekniikkanimitys muuttuikin sekatekniikaksi.

 

 

Mukana seuraa kuvan mukainen happovapaa aukkopahvi/paspis, jossa kuvan näkyvä osuus 23 x 29 cm, ulkomitta 40x50 cm – eli sopii sellaisenaan valmiskehyksiin ellet halua viedä kehystettäväksi. Valitset vain mieleisesi kehyksen ja sujautat tämän paikoilleen. Nopeaa ja edullista!

I always found the symbolic meaning of eggs fascinating; eggs represent hope, a new life, a promise… They are messengers of joy, and not only at Easter time when we love to decorate them with joyful colors. I come back to this subject over and over again, interpreting it with different techniques and creating new stories.

 

 

This romantic nest is clearly a place where the dreams are hatching! Dreams are like bird’s eggs – they need time to develop, you must take care of them and see they stay warm. Then one day they get wings and are free to fly  - the world is waiting!

 

 

Originally, this is a monoprint where the nest is made using  pieces of lace and a couple of leaves at mark-making. This is a hand pulled acrylic print on high quality printing paper; I actually printed this on the back side of an art calendar sheet – you will still find my fox  resting on the back of this artwork. I finished this dreamy nest with some coloured pencils which makes it a mixed media piece.

 

 

The acid-free passepartout (mat) is included; visible size of artwork being 23 x 29 cm and outer measurement 40x50 cm which is a standard size of industrieal frames on the European market. If you don’t wish to use a professional framer, just get your favourite 40x50 cm frame and slip this into it – quick and affordable.
